Happy Holidays! A message from Attorney General Josh Stein and Feeding the Carolinas Executive Director Mike Darrow about the upcoming 2021 NCBA Legal Feeding Frenzy, and how you can help North Carolinians in need this holiday season:
The NCBA YLD Legal Feeding Frenzy (LFF) is an annual joint program of the Office of the Attorney General, NCBA Young Lawyers Division, NCBF and Feeding the Carolinas. It aims to fight hunger across North Carolina by uniting the legal community in support of local food banks.
Every March, the LFF hosts a food- and fund- drive competition among all North Carolina law firms, law schools, and organizations to assist Feeding The Carolinas food banks. This year’s competition will run March 1 – 31, 2021, with early registration beginning in February. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss it!
With the competition still months away, the FTC and our local food banks have called on our legal community to help our neighbors NOW.
Our local food banks are struggling to meet the demand caused by the COVID-19 pandemic – with many seeing demand up 30% (from an average 40% to 70%). While we are all in the spirit of giving, please consider donating to Feeding the Carolinas or your local FTC food bank this holiday season. If you are well and able, please also consider volunteering.
